Appletree has two licensed locations for the preschool programs, both in the East Hill community:

Location 1 / Program 1:

Hours: 7:30am – 3:00pm
Pick up / Drop off: It’s possible earlier or later than facility hours
Location: 1406 32nd Ave, Vernon

We offer a Preschool / 30 month old plus group class. Open hours are 7:30am – 3:00pm, but you are able to pick up and drop off earlier/later for your family & child’s needs. The teacher will reach out to each family to set up a time schedule that works for you! Preschool portion is 8:30am – 12:00pm, but there is enriching programing for the entirety of the day.

Location 2 / Program 2:

Hours: 8:00am – 12:00pm
Location: 3605 12th Street, Vernon

We do not have a scheduled opening date for this location at this time. Please contact us to express your interest; we will move forward with opening once a minimum enrollment threshold is met.

If the scheduling at both locations/programs does not work for you, please contact us to discuss further, as we want to help Vernon families and make our schedule accommodating for everyone.

We offer a environment that is not over-stimulating and has space for calm, space for building, space for dramatic play, space for gross motor movement and music and more.

– Reggio Emilia Inspired: We view children as capable, resilient researchers. Educators observe children during child-led play, giving the children the opportunity to wonder, ask questions, make mistakes, become inspired, and solve problems. All with the helping ears & hands of educators ready to jump in and guide them along their way, as needed. We celebrate unique personalities & ideas!

– Montessori Inspired: We incorporate Montessori-style learning to foster independence and practical life skills. We set up academic learning experiences disguised as play – color sorting, letter recognition, name writing laid out in fun games or puzzles. Allowing children to master tasks at their own pace but still building deep focus and self-reliance.

– Daily Fresh Air: Minimum two hours of outdoor time every day.
– Safe Play Space: These are gated private spaces at both locations.
– Walking Field Trips: Our locations are surrounded by beautiful parks, allowing our classes to take walking trips to explore the local environment and stay active.
