Summer Care Program
During July and August, we offer quality summer program for school age children.
You can sign up your child for the entire summer (Jul-Aug) or by the week of your choice – whatever works best for your family’s summer schedule.
Appletree offers two licensed summer care facilities:
- East Hill – 3605 12th Street, Vernon
- Peace Lutheran – 1204 30th Ave, Vernon
Summer care program offers:
- Daily outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, swimming, free play, ball games
- Field trips to different playgrounds and swimming pools in Greater Vernon area
- Visits to – Allan Books Nature Centre, Wildlife Museum, Okanagan Science Centre, Library, Vernon Museum, etc.
- Science and craft projects
- Themed weekly programs, for example: outdoor skills, music, beach
- Reading time
- Meditation (yoga time)
- Board games
- Theme games
- Puzzles
- Toy games
Registration opened on May 1st, 2025:
- Click Registration in the main menu and then fill out appropriate registration.
- Please fill out ‘Transportation Permission’ under the ‘Permission Slips menu’
- Once the registration papers have been submitted, within 10 business days you will receive an email with confirmation of a spot if available.
